The 'Pump Boys' sell high octane on Highway 57 in Grand Ole Opry country and the 'Dinettes', Prudie and Rhetta Cupp, run the Double Cupp diner next door. Together they fashion an evening which highlights a hybrid of country, rock and pop music that received unanimous raves on and off-Broadway. With heartbreak and hilarity, they perform on guitars, piano, bass and, yes, kitchen utensils.

Starring Andy Kirby, Chris and Jeanna Lamar, Ed and Adriana Mallett and Zach Potter.

"Both musically and theatrically, a triumph of ensemble playing. It doesn't merely celebrate the value of friendship and life's simple pleasures, it embodies them." - The New York Times

"Totally terrific...It is such fun." - The New York Post

A gasser, with buoyant, earthy humor." - New York Daily News

"Totally delightful." - Newsweek

"When the inevitable ‘closing time’ comes along, you'll wish you could stay a while longer." - Christian Science Monitor

Tuba Bach Chamber Music Festival

Ed Mallett as TubaMan in the 2009 Big Rapids 4th of July paradeIt's not just the Tuba. It's much more than Bach. It's a series of Sunday afternoon concerts featuring internationally acclaimed tuba/euphonium artist and composer and Big Rapids resident Dr. Edward K. Mallett, joined by outstanding musicians in diverse programs ranging from opera to bluegrass, avant garde to rockabilly, and - of course - Bach.

Tuba Bach's goal is to provide the Big Rapids area community the opportunity to attend and experience world-class musical performances in their own town, free of charge. Tuba Bach is a community music event.
